In the “old days,” people with information about suspected criminal activities (drugs and drug sales, thefts, etc.) would pick up the phone and dial. Now you can quickly send an e-mail to: Ramonainfo@sdsheriff.org.The Sheriff’s Department values the information provided by citizens — one small piece of information can provide the key to solving major crimes. Something that a person thinks is “not very important” may be just what the detectives need to solve a case and assist a crime victim.All information received will be reviewed by a detective and acted upon in a timely manner. The reporting party can remain anonymous.“We’re asking the public to share information about suspected or known criminal activity — drug use/sales, burglaries, thefts, and other crimes”, said Sheriff’s Sgt. B. Hout.Citizens can truly be an asset in their community by being alert and reporting crimes in several ways. Non-emergency crimes can be reported to 760-789-1200 to have a deputy respond.
