Ramona man finishes Boston Marathon before explosions

According to the Boston Athletic Association’s website, one Ramonan, Steven Tally, participated in the 2013 Boston Marathon on April 15, finished the race about 1-1/2 hours before two explosions ripped through the finish line.

Tally, 52, finished the race around 1:17 p.m. News reports say the explosions, just before 3 p.m., killed at least three people and injured more than 130.

The Boston Athletic Association website showed no other entrants from Ramona, but there were four participants from Poway, one from Lakeside, and six from Escondido.
