Republican women to start 2012-13 season with barbecue dinner at Schwaesdall Winery

Reservations for Intermountain Republican Women Federated’s kickoff event for the 2012-13 season—the annual Fall Fundraiser Barbecue Dinner—are due by Tuesday, Sept. 18. The dinner will be on Monday, Sept. 24.

Proceeds from the dinner benefit Intermountain’s Scholarship Program. The dinner will be held at Schwaesdall Winery, 17677 Rancho de Oro Road, off Highway 67, and will begin at 5:45 p.m.

Members and guests will find many gift baskets from which to choose in the opportunity drawings and auction.

Speakers will be C.D. Michel and Eric Golub.

Michel is senior counsel for the law firm of Michel & Associates. His practice focuses on civil litigation, which includes firearms law. He has represented clients in cases that garnered state and national media attention, and he has been a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association, the California Rifle and Pistol Association, and other associations.

Michel also teaches law as an adjunct professor at Chapman University School of Law in Orange, Calif., where he teaches classes in firearms law and law practice management.

Golub is Brooklyn born and Long Island raised, and has lived in Los Angeles since 1990. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Judaism, and his master’s of business administration from the University of Southern California.

Golub’s blog is the “Tygrrrr Express.” In April of 2009 he published the book “Ideological Bigotry.” He followed that up with “Ideological Violence,” endorsed by Fox News military analyst Ralph Peters, and “Ideological Idiocy.” He has written for Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood, Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller, and World Net Daily. As a radio guest of Dennis Miller, Hugh Hewitt, Armstrong Williams, and others, he discusses his desire to end ideological bigotry. In addition, he guest hosts for conservative political commentator Rick Amato.
