Attack Dawgs face tough battle in game against Torrey Pines

Share

The Ramona Jr. Mitey Mites Attack Dawgs put up a great fight against a much larger Torrey Pines team in a disappointing loss that disrupts an undefeated record for the Attack Dawgs.

Jonny Cohen and Angelo Flores on the offensive line, were instrumental in blocking and creating a hole for quarterback Brayden Nungesser to run in for a 47-yard touchdown. Josiah Bowman also made a touchdown run that required a break through in two attempted tackles. Cole Mattson made hits that assisted the team in securing better field position. Cole also punched in for a touchdown near the goal line.

A strong performance by the defense included players Kai Hofstee, Garrett Pekelder, and Jordan Tretera that held the Torrey Pines Falcons to a tied score at the half.

Although the Attack Dawgs did not secure the win, these players held tough and managed to add 22 points to the board, the most a team had ever put up against them.
