Sun Valley Council PTA will present Ramona Voters Forum featuring the three candidates for Ramona school board and information about two propositions on the Nov. 6 ballot: Prop. 38 and Prop. R.

The forum will be in the Ramona High School Performing Arts Wing, 1401 Hanson Lane, on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m.

The three candidates for the two seats on the Ramona Unified School District Board are Dan Lopez, Dawn Perfect, and John Rajcic. Lopez and Perfect are incumbents completing their first four-year term on the five-member board.

California State PTA sponsors Proposition 38, also known as Our Children Our Future.

Proposition R, Rescue Ramona Schools, is the district’s bid for a $66 million bond for school improvements and to repay a $25 million loan from 2004.

The event is free and open to the public. PTA and district policies do not permit the distribution of any kind of campaign literature on campus, reads a flyer announcing the forum.

Sun Valley Council PTA is the umbrella organization representing the PTAs at each of Ramona Unified schools.
