Ramonans start 3-day, 60-mile walk

Team Ramona Beauties joined thousands of other women and men, including 25 other walkers from Ramona, for the Susan G. Komen San Diego 3-Day, 60-mile walk to raise money for and awareness of breast cancer.

The 2012 walk began Friday morning at Del Mar Fairgrounds and will travel 60 miles through the San Diego area, concluding at Petco Park on Sunday.

Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by the event helps support national research and public health outreach programs, with 25 percent supporting community and affiliate programs.

This is Team Ramona Beauties’ eighth year participating in the walk.
