Various freeway connector ramps closed for maintenance this weekend

Caltrans maintenance crews will close freeway-to-freeway connectors at several locations in the county this weekend.

The ramps from eastbound and westbound State Route 78 (SR-78) to northbound Interstate 15 (I-15) will be closed Sunday morning between 3 and 9 for guardrail repair. Motorists eastbound on SR-78 will be detoured to southbound I-15 to Valley Parkway to northbound I-15.

The connector from eastbound State Route 52 (SR-52) to northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) will be closed Saturday morning from 6 until 10 for guardrail repair. Motorists will be detoured eastbound on SR-52 to Convoy Street to westbound SR-52 to northbound I-805.

Two lanes on westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) and the connector from southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) will be closed Saturday morning from 3 until 8 for a paint overlay. Motorists northbound on SR-163 will be detoured to eastbound I-8 to Qualcomm Way to westbound I-8. Additionally, motorists taking the connector from northbound SR-163 to westbound I-8 will be detoured onto Hotel Circle and the westbound I-8 on-ramp just east of the overcrossing to Taylor Street.

The southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) connector to westbound SR-52 will be closed Saturday morning from 3 to 7 for guardrail repairs. Motorists will be detoured to Clairemont Mesa Boulevard east to northbound SR-163 to westbound SR-52.

The connector from southbound I-805 to westbound State Route 54 (SR-54) will be closed Sunday morning from 3 until 8 for bridge maintenance. Motorists will be detoured to eastbound SR-54 to Reo Drive to westbound SR-54.
