From RHS to Wall Street for Monique Barrios

Monique Barrios received her Bachelor of Science degree in economics at Duke University’s commencement ceremony.

Barrios, a Class of 2008 Ramona High School graduate, earned her bachelor’s degree

SONY DSCwith a concentration in Finance and a minor in sociology. In addition, she also made the dean’s list, which is awarded to students who rank in the top third of their college.

While attending Duke University, Barrios was involved in many extra-curricular activities. Among those, she served as a senator for Duke Student Government for three years and as class president for the Class of 2012 in her junior year. She also participated in the Financial Education Partnership (FEP), where she received the FEP Leadership Award in her senior year for her leadership and dedication in mentoring underclassmen to receive internships on Wall Street.

With her undergraduate career behind her, she will be moving to New York City to begin her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street.
