Ramona wines featured at county fair and performing arts center fundraiser

Ramona vintners have at least two regional date in June. The first is at the San Diego County Fair and the second at Taste of Our Towne in Poway.

Ramona wineries will be featured at the 2012 San Diego County Fair Wine Festival at the Del Mar Fairgrounds from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.

Unlimited tastes from approximately 35 wineries in the county will be offered for $53, which includes fair admission and a souvenir glass. More information is at sdfair.com/events.

On Saturday, June 23, eight wineries — six from Ramona — will be featured with eight restaurants at Taste of Our Towne at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Live music, food and wine, an auction, and prizes are among features.

Tickets are $100. All proceeds benefit PCPA Foundation’s Arts in Education Initiative and Professional Performance Series.

Wine, music, and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner, live auction, music, and dancing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Attendees must be at least 21 years old.

Ramona wines featured at the Poway fundraiser are Cactus Star Vineyard at Scaredy Cat Ranch, Edwards Vineyard & Cellars, Woof ‘n Rose Winery, Schwaesdall Winery, Mahogany Mountain Vineyard and Winery, and Chuparosa Vineyards.
