Lightning strike sparks brush fire

Air tankers stopped the spread of a one-acre vegetation fire on Mesa Grande Road near Demming Ranch Road Monday afternoon, Capt. Adam Pollock with the Intermountain Fire and Rescue Department reported.

A lightning strike sparked the fire. No structures are threatened, said Pollock.
