Ramona Pony Baseball’s All-Star team of 11-year-olds went undefeated in the Pony Regional Tournament, winning the championship game on Sunday 5-1 against Emerald of El Cajon.

The Dawgs pride themselves on pitching and defense but showed they can hit well, too, outscoring their opponents 30-6 in their four tournament games. By winning regionals the team bypasses super regionals and enters straight into the West Zone tournament in Walnut, Calif., starting July 19.

The winner of the West Zone Tournament will advance to the World Series in Virginia starting July 26.

Ramona players include: Zach Kudrawec, Tristan Stacy, Derek Diamond, Ben Knowd, Trevor Strong, Seth Dalton, Karson Basore, Tom Warren, Kyle Pack, Brayden Lessler, Casey Bugglen and Tyler Steglic. Their coaches are Steve Diamond, Tim Knowd and Pat Trampus.
