Ramona Fitness Center partners with Ramona Pop Warner

Ramona Fitness Center recently announced its support of Ramona Pop Warner Football and Cheer for the 2012 season.

The newly formed partnership between Ramona’s health and fitness club and youth football and cheer program opens a new chapter for both organizations, said John Pecoraro, Ramona Pop Warner vice president.

Peter San Nicolas and his team of certified personal trainers and fitness consultants have provided their expertise to other local athletic organizations, such as the Ramona High School girls volleyball team, to educate young athletes, assist in creating and leading customized training regimens, and optimize performance.

Ramona Pop Warner accepted Ramona Fitness Center’s offer to collaborate and lead the 2012 Youth Speed, Agility, and Conditioning camp that is in full swing and will run through July 19, said Pecoraro.

“This marks another milestone in Ramona Pop Warner history,” said Aundrea Zazas, Ramona Pop Warner president. “We are thinking broader than just football and cheer. This is a holistic approach that encompasses peak mental and physical health. We want our participants to realize their full potential. In order to do so, it is incumbent upon us to provide the resources for these young athletes to experience just how much they are really capable of achieving.”

The team at Ramona Fitness Center plays a central role in executing on this vision, said Zazas.

“We are extremely fortunate to have such a fantastic resource available for our kids right here in our community,” said Zazas. “We cannot thank Peter, Kyle and the RFC Team enough for their contribution to the organization.”

Ramona Pop Warner Football and Cheer was founded and is operated on the premise to inspire boys, girls, young women and young men to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness, by not only learning the fundamentals of playing football or cheerleading, but also the importance of education, in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound mind, body, and character, while having a good time.
