Free ESL classes held for adults, high schoolers
English as a Second Language classes are offered at Ramona High School Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The classes are free to adult and high school community members.
“All you have to do is sign up,” said Jerrie Raymer, one of those teaching the class.
Three levels of English as a Second Language (ESL)are offered. The classes teach listening, speaking, reading and writing skills to non-native speakers of English. Computer literacy classes are included.
Ola Steenhagen teaches ESL I in Room 158, Gail Voorhes teaches ESL II in Room 152, and Raymer teaches ESL III in Room 160. Ramona High School is at 1401 Hanson Lane.
