Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church welcomes a new staff member, Bryce Harrison, and his wife, Britany, this month.

“Bryce has come on board to help with a very new and exciting addition to SOJ’s Sunday morning services,” said Pastor Dan Erlenbusch.

Starting in the beginning of February, Spirit of Joy will be offering a contemporary praise and worship service. The service will start at 9:45 a.m., directly following the traditional service, which will remain at 8:15 a.m.

Harrison earned a Bachelor of Music Education from California Baptist University, and he is working toward a Music Teaching Credential at California State University, Fullerton. Bryce and his wife currently live in Anaheim, but they are enjoying their Sunday mornings and often parts of the week in Ramona.

Harrison has been participating in church music since a young age and comes to Spirit of Joy church with great anticipation of building up a contemporary praise and worship service that will begin a new chapter in the church’s rich background, said Erlenbusch.

“We welcome you to come and be a part of this new and exciting contemporary service offered at SOJ church — where the doors are always open to all who wish to enter, and where you can expect nothing less than a loving, strong and supportive group of committed people,” said Erlenbusch. “Hope to see you soon.”

Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church is at 1735 Main St. More information is at 760-788-7456 and www.sojchurch.com.
