DAN MCALLISTER, San Diego County treasurer/tax collector will be the guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Ramona breakfast meeting in Sizzler of Ramona, 344 Main St. Meeting begins at 7 a.m., McAllister at 8 a.m. is expected to discuss subjects such as the local economy, an overview of the county tax base, a review of 2011 and expectations for the coming year. A question and answer session will follow his presentation. The public is welcome. Buffet-style breakfast including salad bar is $9.

RAMONA TEA’D free monthly Constitution forums for 2012 will begin featuring information about U.N. Agenda 21. Organizers of the Ramona Tea’d (Taxed Enough Already) forum encourage the public to attend to learn about the United Nation’s plan for America and how “local, state and federal governments’ land use policy makers are working arm-in-arm with the U.N by defying our Constitution and relinquishing our national sovereignty to global interests in the name of ‘the environment, sustainable development and smart growth.’” Guest speaker will be Barbara Decker, Volunteers in Politics member known for opposing Agenda 21. RREA KICK-OFF—Ramona Real Estate Association will hold its kick-off for 2012 at its New Year Party in San Vicente Inn, 24157 San Vicente Road, starting at 6 p.m. Silent auction proceeds will benefit the RREA Scholarship Fund. MEDICARE AND RETIREMENT PLANNING SEMINAR will begin at 6 p.m. in the Ramona Library Community Room and will give attendees the opportunity to learn about their rights and options under Medicare 2012, how Medicare Part D works, how they can protect their income and assets, how they can decrease their taxes during retirement, and options for post-hospitalization care.
