Teams are forming for first Trivia Bee
Friends of Ramona Library encourage everyone to ‘put on your thinking caps’
Clubs, organizations, family, friends and neighbors have an opportunity to put on their thinking caps and get ready for some friendly competition that will benefit Ramona Library.
The Friends of Ramona Library will hold its first Trivia Bee fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. in the new library. The Friends hope to make it an annual event
“If you like trivia and TV shows like ‘Jeopardy,’ you’ll enjoy a great evening while assisting the library,” said Racheal Gilmore, Friends of Ramona Library member coordinating the event. “All proceeds will go to fund their community projects.”
Ramona service, social clubs and business organizations are invited to participate — each with a two-person team — for a perpetual trophy that will be permanently displayed in the library.
For information about entering a team, and other details about the event, call Gilmore, 760-789-9312.
Tickets will be on sale at the Friends of the Library Store and local businesses; watch for display posters. A $25 ticket price will include food, beverages, entertainment and a Chinese drawing.
“Come join us for a delightful evening, and cheer for your favorite club/organization,” said Gilmore.
