Menghini, Hart, Thilken, Birdsell, Glass re-elected to Julian board

A vintner, a newspaper publisher and a bed-and-breakfast operator are among Julian Chamber of Commerce directors elected to another two-year term. Chamber members cast their ballots in December, and votes were tallied at the chamber’s December meeting in Julian Town Hall.

Re-elected to the business organization’s 2012 board include: Mike Menghini of Menghini Winery, Mike Hart of Julian News, Betty Birdsell of Bad Bettys.com, Dick Thilken of Marriages on the Mountain, and Dawn Glass of Butterfield B&B and Black Oak Cabin.

Also elected are: Renee Engle of Main Street Carriages, Kiki Skagen-Harris of Skagen Ranch Studio, Randy Myers of Julian Doves & Desperados, and Les Turner of Peacefield Orchard.

Santa Ysabel Casino, 25575 Highway 79 in Santa Ysabel, will host the Julian chamber’s first mixer of 2012, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
