Burglars caught on video stealing from Santa Ysabel Bakery

Detectives from the sheriff’s Julian substation are asking for the public’s help in identifying two burglars who were caught on infrared cameras stealing from Dudley’s Bakery at 30218 Highway 78 in Santa Ysabel on Christmas Day.

The burglary happened during the early morning hours of Dec. 25. The suspects pried open the door of the business and stole an undisclosed amount of money. They were then seen running from the business, sheriff’s officials report.

From the video, the first suspect is described as a white man, early to mid-20s, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, clean shaven, and possibly has a tattoo on the right side of his neck. He was last seen wearing a light-colored print shirt possibly with the words “South Pole” on the front and knee-length shorts.

The second suspect is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 to 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
