Youth Basketball League Standouts of the Week

Cameron NecocheaCam, a sixth-grader at Barnett Elementary, has helped the Dawgs to a 6-1 record this year so far. He is in the top 5 for points in the division. While he plays just about any sport you can imagine, his first love is football. Cam has played football since age 5 and most recently played quarterback and safety for the Jr. Pee Wee Dawg Pound. He is great with his brother Carson, who is autistic, working with him to build and film Lego movies with their iPads. When he is not playing basketball, Cam loves to drive his mom crazy and hang out with his friends and family.

Mackenzie GriffinMackenzie is in the top three for points in her division with 69 points so far this season. She is an eighth-grader at Olive Peirce Middle School where she has maintained a 4.0 GPA for two years. Her favorite subjects are math, English and history. When Mackenzie is not playing basketball, she is a goal keeper on her soccer team. She also enjoys playing volleyball for OPMS.
