Republican women plan New Member Tea

Intermountain Republican Women Federated will hold its New Member Tea in the Ramona Woman’s Clubhouse at 524 Main St. on Monday, Feb. 27.

In addition, guest speaker Pearl Andrews will discuss the state of society from a Christian perspective during the meeting. Andrews was awarded the U.S. House of Representatives Certificate of Congressional Recognition for outstanding leadership for supporting and encouraging struggling small businesses in Southern California.

“Pearl is a conservative Republican and is always interested in talking to women,” said Claudia Weringa, in charge of publicity for the Intermountain group. “If you desire to be enlightened by a powerful and encouraging speaker, come out and be inspired for positive change.”

Reservations are due by Monday, Feb. 20.

Members, spouses and guests from Ramona, Julian, Santa Ysabel and surrounding areas are welcome.

Ramona residents with last names beginning with the letters A through L may call Alicia Gonzales, 760-788-3626, for reservations.

Ramonans with last names beginning with M through Z may call Sean Tenwolde, 760-788-6645, for reservations.

Julian, Santa Ysabel and other residents also may contact Tenwolde for reservations.
