Youth club reaches out to military families

Share

The Ramona Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego has the opportunity to reach out and help support the community’s military families and their children, said Simone McCune, the club’s site supervisor.

“We would like to invite children in kindergarten through middle school to attend the club and participate in our mentoring program,” said McCune. “During your child’s active participation in this program, they will receive many of our services at no cost. We recognize that the challenges facing our children of military families can seem overwhelming and we hope to provide support, mentoring and positive experiences to ease the challenges faced in military life.”

For more information, contact the Ramona Branch at 760-788-7564, McCune at smccune@sdyouth.org or visit the club at 622 E St. in Collier Park.

The clubhouse is open weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m. for tours and more information.
