Youth Basketball League Standouts of the Week

Kyle KlawiterKyle and his Celtics are undefeated this season. He has 68 points and an average of 22 points per game. Kyle is in fourth grade at James Dukes Elementary and an “A” student. Kyle loves all types of sports. He plays soccer, baseball and ice hockey in addition to basketball. He also takes drum lessons. In between basketball practice and games, he plays mini-hoops in the hallway or Nintendo basketball on his DS. In his spare time, he watches NBA games, and is a die-hard Celtics fan. Kyle also loves playing with his dog, Louie, or holding his pet snake, George.

Sydney KaminskySydney is in the top 10 in her division with 22 points so far this season. Sydney won the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest in Ramona, advanced to the District competition in Poway and won first place. Next she advances to Regionals in San Diego. Sydney attends James Dukes Elementary School and is a member of the security patrol. She is a championship golfer, winning first place in the San Vicente Junior Golf Tournament in 2010 and second place in 2011. “She would be involved in every sport, but her love is dancing,” according to her mother.
