Painting contractor Guillermo Navarro and his crew put primer on the Town & Country Real Estate & Home Loans tower at Main and 10th streets on Friday, Feb. 10, in preparation for the first mural of the Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Project. Artists John and Jeanne Whalen are painting a mural of American cowboy, rodeo performer and actor Casey Tibbs, who lived in Ramona until his death. The mural will be installed on the tower beginning Feb. 16 and is scheduled to be completed by Saturday, when a town celebration is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Town & Country building.
