Ramona Rotary offers social hour

Ramona Rotary Club has something new: Ramona Rotary Club Social Hour.

“Calling all present and past members, as well as anyone who would like to find out what Rotary is all about,” said Sharon Greene, past president of the Ramona service club. “This meeting can count as a makeup meeting for present members, a reacquainting for past members and an introduction for prospective members. Come one, come all.”

The meeting will be in the Par Lounge Community Area at San Vicente Golf Resort, 24157 San Vicente Road, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9. Cost is $10 per person. Appetizers will be served and the full bar is available.

Dates of future social hour meetings will be determined, said Greene.

Ramona Rotary Club meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays in Sizzler of Ramona, 344 Main St. Lunch is from noon to 12:30, club meeting from 12:30 to 1 p.m. and guest speaker from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

“We’re trying to get other people interested and involved in Rotary,” Greene said of the evening meeting. “It’s a time to just be social and it’s open to anyone interested in finding out what Rotary is all about.”
