Demonstration for Hunter’s resignation

Now is the time for all great men……

On Feb. 3 members of the Ramona Forum will join forces with some members of the TEA party to demand the resignation of Congressman Duncan Hunter. We hope that members of Occupy and other people willing to stand up in support of our great nation will join us at Duncan Hunter’s office from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 3.

Clearly Duncan Hunter, along with nearly 100 percent of the House of Representatives and Senate, violated their oath to support the Constitution of the United States when they voted for the latest changes to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This act was shamefully signed into law by President Barack Obama on Dec. 31, 2011, demonstrating collusion to remove the last vestiges of our liberties.

The 2012 NDAA authorizes the military to snatch American citizens from their homes and hold them indefinitely without charge. For this, Hunter and others need to be removed from office through legal means, or as we will demand on Feb. 3, to resign immediately. The 2012 NDAA is part of a long line of assaults on our liberties that provides an easy transition to totalitarianism.

Party and ideology aside, now is the time for all great men to come to the aid of their country, and we begin with a demonstration in front of Duncan Hunter’s office in El Cajon, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. We ask that all law-abiding citizens willing to demonstrate peacefully join us.

Wonderful service

I am writing about the wonderful service I received at “Go Wireless” (Verizon) in Ramona, and in particular from wireless consultant Richard Rudiger.

I just can’t say enough good things about the employees — they are so professional, courteous, knowledgeable and patient with their customers.

For those of you who go “down the hill” to a Verizon store, you’re wasting your time and gas.

Shop Ramona and support your local Verizon store. It’s right here on Main Street.
