Congregations invite public to Christmas services

The First Congregational Church, 404 Eighth St.

Sunday, Dec. 23: The church will celebrate Sunday services in music and word, with Pastor Auten continuing his Advent message series “No Fear.” The combined choirs will present “Rise Up!” and the bell choir will perform in the opening with “Gloria!” and “Prayer at the Manger” for the offertory.

Monday, Dec. 24: Traditional Christmas Eve services of candlelight, carols and the Christmas Story will be held in the Sanctuary at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The story of Jesus’ birth will be told through scripture, carols, and instrumental music, and a Living Nativity will be held in the courtyard.

Sunday, Dec. 23: 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. - Christmas Message.

Monday, Dec. 24: 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. - Christmas Eve children’s play and candlelight service.

Monday, Dec. 24: 7 to 8 p.m. - Celebration of the Savior’s birth. Drama presentation, light refreshments after service.

Thursday, Dec. 20: 6 p.m. - Ramona Lutheran School Christmas Program, “Sing a Song of Christmas.”

Sunday, Dec. 23: 9 a.m. - Worship: Adult Choir Annual Christmas Cantata, “The Advent of Hope, The Birth of Peace.”

Monday, Dec. 24: 7 p.m. - Christmas Eve Worship (No Christmas Day Service).

Ramona United Methodist Church, 3394 Chapel Lane Road.

Monday, Dec. 24; Christmas Eve Worship, 7 p.m. family service, 11 p.m. candlelight service.

Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 1735 Main St.

Monday, Dec. 24: 5 p.m. - Family service featuring children’s presentation. 7 and 11 p.m. - Candlelight services and live music, including harp.
