New Masthead, Features & More at the Sentinel
Hopefully you have noticed by now, the masthead for the
Sentinel
has been redesigned. After many discussions with both readers and staff, we believe the new design captures the Ramona area with mountain vistas along with being the valley of the sun, and gives the front page more pop. We hope you agree.Other changes include two new feature writers. Terry Koehl, Ramona resident who owns AccuTech Computer Support, will offer tips and problem solving for your computer use, review new technology and answer questions. Eddie Brisendine, also a Ramona resident, will author a new column, “Wine & Cuisine,” devoted to the pleasures of wine tasting and dining along with party tips and ideas, and basically how to enjoy life more. Terry and Eddie will join our current list of feature writers who also include our recent additions of “Scribbles From The Field” by Ramona resident Regina Elling, focusing on rural life, and “Manes & Trails” with an equestrian theme written by Karen Carlson, Ramona resident and former Ramona Trails Association president.
Just around the corner (beginning in September), the
Sentinel
will open the voting on the annual “Best of Ramona” competition. This year, we will be changing the voting procedure so you will be able to cast your vote for your favorites online, which should make it a lot more convenient. We have made these changes to enhance the reader experience. The
Sentinel
has and always will be committed to providing the Ramona community the most comprehensive local news, sports and information delivered fresh each week either by mail or carrier—and daily on our website, ramonasentinel.com. And as always, we look forward to your comments and thank you for your support.—Jeff Mitchell
