Starbucks to open Friday, holds Friends & Family event Thursday

DSC_0533.WEBStarbucks will hold a Friends and Family event at its new store at Main and 13th streets on Thursday, Aug. 23, to kick off the official opening of the store on Friday, Aug. 24.

The Friends and Family event will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. and will offer complimentary food and beverages.

Located next to the Bank of Southern California at 1315 Main St., the new Starbucks store will have merchandise, free Wi-Fi, a patio, seating, food warming options and a drive-through, said a spokesperson for the company.

Store hours will be 4:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, and 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday.
