State, county officials to dedicate Warner Springs Station on Saturday

After more than 60 years of service, the Warner Springs Fire Station has been replaced by a state-of-the-art facility, reports Michael Mohler, Cal Fire information officer.

This two-bay station will house equipment and up to 12 firefighters, including Cal Fire personnel and volunteers with the Warner Springs Fire Company, which is under the County Fire Authority. Equipment based at the new station includes a state-owned fire engine and a county-owned water tender.

“This station embodies the collaboration between Cal Fire and the county and shows how we work together closely to protect the public and use taxpayer resources wisely,” said County Supervisor Bill Horn.

A state bond paid for the $2.7 million station, noted Mohler. Cal Fire and county officials are scheduled to be at the ribbon cutting ceremony at the station at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28. The station — Station 52 — is at 31049 Highway 79 in Warner Springs.
