Positively Speaking

Positively-SpeakingEveryone loves to have a lot of energy throughout the day. How would you like to accomplish everything you want and feel great?

The daily stress and struggles will wear most of us down, so here are a few tips to help keep your positive energy high.

•Do the tasks that you love — Passion and enthusiasm for doing something increases your energy.

•Get regular exercise — Exercise boosts positive energy. Exercise makes you feel good and keeps your energy levels high.

•Energize yourself through a proper diet — A diet rich in carbohydrates, proteins, low fat and lots of fiber is a sure way to keep your energy up. Avoid sugar and caffeine to keep from riding the energy roller coaster.

•Work toward the big picture in mind — You may experience stress and energy draining situations during your day, but if you keep the big picture in mind it will help you stay motivated.

•Put on a smile — Smile is contagious. It improves your mood. You cannot be depressed or have low energy with a smile on your face.

•Boost your positive energy through body language — Your body language helps to boost your positive energy. Project a positive attitude, stand up straight, uncrossed arms, firm handshake, good eye contact, calm behavior.

•Avoid energy drainers — Don’t waste your time with the “drama queens.” You know who they are, the ones who want to rehash all the negative stuff in their lives. Don’t get sucked into that energy drain.

•Associate with like-minded people — Find a group or individuals who have a positive lifestyle and hang out with them. Why be around people who will drag you down to make themselves feel better?

•Positive introspection — Take some time daily if you can to look inside yourself. Think about the great qualities you have like your skills, attitude, and ability to love, to name a few.

Realize you are an important part of your family and society when you have a positive attitude and give off a high positive energy level. All of life’s problems are better tackled when you start from the positive and avoid the negative.
