MCAS Miramar Air Show showcases Blue Angels, Golden Knights

The MCAS Miramar Air Show will be entertaining spectators this weekend with three days of aerial shows by military pilots and civilian performers.

Included will be the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team and the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team. There will also be a demonstration by the Marine Air-Ground Task Force, showcasing the Corps’ combat power.

The air show, open to the public, will be held Friday, Sept. 30, through Sunday, Oct. 2. Gates open at 8 a.m. and performance times are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and a special twilight show from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Parking, admission and blanket seating are free for all shows. This year’s theme is “A Salute to San Diego: Birthplace of Naval Aviation.” More information is at www.miramarairshow.com.
