Ramblers meet Monday

Anyone interested in helping plan Ramona Senior Center trips is welcome at the meeting of the Ramona Ramblers travel group in the center at 1 p.m. on Monday.

A spaghetti fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15. Call the center, 760-789-0440, for cost and details.

Ramona Senior Center, a county-designated Cool Zone, is open at 434 Aqua Lane weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for legal holidays. The pool table is available for use any time except during Bargain Corner.

Thursday, Sept. 29

: Bingo at 1 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 30

: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 3:

Exercise at 9 a.m., Lace Class at 9 a.m., Bible study at 10 a.m., Ramblers at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

: Quilting at 9 a.m., Writing at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct:

5: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pinochle at 9 a.m., Bridge at 12:30 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 6:

Bingo at 1 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 7:

Exercise at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m.

Dinner-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals also are delivered to the homebound in Ramona, Julian, Mesa Grande, Santa Ysabel and Warner Springs.

Suggested donation for lunch for seniors age 60 and older and for homebound is $4. Transportation is $1. Lunch for non-seniors is $6.

Lunch reservations are advised. For reservations and more information, call the senior center at 789-0440.

: Beef goulash, Tuscany vegetables, fruited Jello.

Monday, Oct. 3

: Open faced beef sandwich with gravy, mashed potatoes, Scandinavian vegetables, strawberries with cream.

Tuesday, Oct

: 4: Boneless barbecue chicken, red beans and rice, Tuscany vegetables, fresh grapes.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

: Cheese enchiladas, tomato salsa, refried beans, Mexican rice, ambrosia.

Thursday, Oct. 6:

Vegetable lasagna, winter mix vegetables, bread sticks, Jello with fruit.

Friday, Oct. 7

: Pork loin with gravy, scalloped potatoes, California vegetables, applesause.
