will start its new season with a luncheon meeting featuring Suzanne Miyasaki, principal of San Pasqual Academy, the first residential education campus for foster youth in the nation. Social time starts at 11 a.m., call to order at 11:30 a.m., luncheon at noon and program at 1 p.m. All are welcome. RUMMAGE SALE, E-WASTE RECYCLING
—Ramona High School Band will conduct a fall rummage sale from 7 a.m. to noon and E-Waste Recycling from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ramona High School parking lot, 1401 Hanson Lane. All proceeds will support the RHS Marching Band in tournament competitions. A variety of items will be available at the rummage sale. All kinds of electronics, including old big-screen TVs, and small appliances will be accepted. No batteries or light bulbs will be accepted. SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL RUMMAGE SALE
— Soroptimist International of Ramona’s kick-off fundraiser toward bettering the lives of women and girls locally, nationally and worldwide will be at 311 12th Street from 7 a.m. until noon. There will be coffee and doughnuts, and great bargains are promised. The holidays are just around the corner, so get a head start on your shopping.

Ramona Trails Association’s annual fundraiser, will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the auction starting at 12:30 p.m. The ride, bike or hike event will start at the RTA trail staging area at Ramona Community Park on Aqua Lane. For cost and more information, see page 3.
VFW PIG ROAST
, a fundraiser to benefit the Ramona post and its auxiliaries, will be from 1 to 10 p.m. at Dalemar Ranch, 17067 El Sol Road. The event features food, games and entertainment. Motorhome and tent camping is available. For more information, see page 9.

—Owners of pre-1974 trucks and cars are invited to join the display of vehicles at a free car show in the Albertsons parking lot in the 1400 block of Main Street on Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m.. All are welcome to bring their vehicles. Tractors, tanks, boats, Peterbilts, motorcycles and other vehicles are welcome.
