Ramona Grange to host Young Grangers meeting

Share

Youngsters interested in being part of the Grange Youth Fair Program are invited to a meeting in Ramona Grange Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 17.

The program is for youth from 5 to 19 years old.

Young Grangers show animals, arts and crafts, home economics and industrial arts projects at local fairs as well as the California State Fair. They compete with 4-H and FFA members for awards.

In partnership with 4-H and FFA, the Grange Youth Fair Program has developed a Code of Ethics agreeing that all participants will allow only ethical and humane treatment of animals and will not tolerate unsportsmanlike conduct.

Youth Fair Program participants must be Junior Grange members. Parents are not required to join the Grange, but they are encouraged to help with the Youth Fair Program.

All interested Ramona youngsters and their parents are invited to the meeting. The regularly scheduled meeting will follow.

Ramona Grange Hall is at 215 Seventh St. For more information contact Sandra Wolfe at 760-871-5814.
