Congregation to hold Welcome potluck

Share

Congregation Etz Chaim has reserved a shady area of Ramona Oaks Park in San Diego Country Estates for a Welcome potluck picnic at noon on Sunday, Sept. 18.

The purpose of the potluck is many fold, says Rhoda Hamburger of the congregation: To welcome back congregation members after the summer break, to welcome Jewish families who may be considering joining this Reform Jewish congregation and to welcome the advent of the Jewish New Year in an informal atmosphere before the solemnity of the High Holy Days.

All who are interested in Reform Judaism and would like to get involved in its practice in Ramona are welcome to attend.

“This will be a fun way to meet others who have similar traditions,” said Jamburger. “Congregation members have moved to Ramona from all over the country as well as many foreign places to enjoy its beautiful amenities. Come to the picnic and share your stories.”
