The heat didn’t hold this Dawg Pack down in their first game, resulting in a 20-6 victory over the Mighty Bruins.

The Pack defense played an outstanding game on Aug. 27, limiting Temecula to only one touchdown late in the third quarter, said their coaches. The boys hit hard causing several fumbles, sacking the quarterback and limiting the Bruins to little yardage on the ground, forcing them to go to the air.

The offensive line made several large holes for the Ramona backfield to run through, paving the way for Shawn Coane to gain significant yards. Coane and Nathan Kiddoo are credited with the touchdowns, and Dominic McManus and Colton Snyder had interceptions. Snyder also recovered a fumble and kicked the extra point.

The Pack had their first away game Saturday, Sept. 3, against Wildomar and held them to a 6-point victory over the Dawgs. Coane scored the Pack’s only touchdown. Kiddoo had a strong game on both sides of the ball and Edger Landgrave recovered a fumble. The D-line held the Tigers to low points and forced turnovers on downs.

The Pack will play Oceanside at home this Saturday.
