Ramona Senior Center will stage its monthly Bargain Corner at the center Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon. The public is welcome.

The center, a county-designated Cool Zone during the summer, is open at 434 Aqua Lane weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for legal holidays. The pool table is available for use any time except during Bargain Corner.

Dinner-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals also are delivered to the homebound in Ramona, Julian, Mesa Grande, Santa Ysabel and Warner Springs.

Suggested donation for lunch for seniors age 60 and older and for homebound is $4. Transportation is $1. Lunch for non-seniors is $6.

Lunch reservations are advised. For reservations and more information, call the senior center at 789-0440.

: Taco salad with tortilla chips, beans, Mexican rice, kiwi.

Baked fish, roasted red potatoes, winter mix, apple crisp.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

: Cold turkey slice with cranberries, green bean salad, potato salad, bread pudding.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

: Stuffed bell peppers, brown rice, zucchini and tomatoes, oranges.

Thursday, Sept. 15

: Pork chops, apple stuffing, peas and carrots, honeydew melon.

Friday, Sept. 16

: Birthday lunch of oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes, California vegetables, carrot cake.
