Share

The Ramona High School Auto Shop and the Road Ramblers of San Diego are joining forces to present the Bulldawg Auto Show at the school from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Rain date is Nov. 5.

The show will be in the Ramona High School parking lot near the intersection of San Vicente Road and Hanson Lane. Vehicles in five classes are welcome, and the public is invited to stop by and take a look at the variety of vehicles and

support the school’s nationally recognized automotive program.

All entrants in the show will receive drink and lunch tickets and many will receive goodie bags. Car club entrants are encouraged to bring their banners.

Entries will be in five classes:

•Unrestored or Restoration — through 1970;

•Street Rod — through 1948;

•Roadster — any year, but must have let-down or DuVal-type windshield and no side glass;

•Pickup — through 1970; and

•Street coupe, sedan, sedan-delivery or convertible — any year through 1970.

Show entries are $20 each. Checks or money orders should be payable to Ramona High School — Auto Club Fund and may be mailed to Robert Grace, c/o 1401 Hanson Lane, Ramona, CA 92065.

Entries on the day of the show are $25.

For planning purposes, advance entries are appreciated.

“We’re looking for sponsors,” said Robert Grace, one of the automotive teachers at Ramona High School.

Donations of any amount will be appreciated to help pay for the plaques that will be awarded and to go toward other show expenses. If anything is left over, it will go toward expenses for the upcoming competition season.

Participation in competitions costs the program about $6,000 a year.

Businesses, organizations, families and individuals interested in being a Bulldawg Auto Show sponsor may contact Grace at 760-787-4114.
