County postpones Highland Valley Ranch appeals until January
An appeal hearing for the San Diego Planning Commission’s approval of a major use permit modification for the Highland Valley Ranch expansion has been postponed until after January 2012, according to a letter from the county’s Department of Planning and Land Use.
Highland Valley Ranch on Highland Valley Road provides residential treatment for brain-injured adults. The Planning Commission approved the permit modification despite opposition from the Ramona Community Planning Group and nearby residents. Both groups filed appeals.
The DPLU letter, sent to the county board of supervisors, said the postponement was due to the applicant’s health problems.
