Ramona Rebels Elite Cheer takes first place in challenge
The Ramona Rebels Elite Junior Squad returned from the JAMZ Magic Mountain Coaster Classic Bid Challenge on Sunday, Nov. 6, with the first-place trophy as a Level 3 competitor.
The girls are excited to have achieved great success at their first competition, said their coaches.
Ramona Rebels Elite, Ramona’s newest and only competitive nonprofit cheer organization, is geared toward participants 8 to 15 years of age. The girls are broken into two competitive teams: a junior and a senior squad.
In addition, the organization offers a Cheer for Tots program that is a series of six-week camps for ages 4 to 7.
This competitive organization was founded by President Holly Michaelis, Vice President Rebecca Vargas, Treasurer Carrie Bryant and Fundraiser Coordinator Paula Dumas.
The idea behind the Rebels is to create a fun, safe, positive competitive cheer experience, they said. This will help prepare the participants for the future with self-discipline, teamwork, and the confidence to become well-rounded individuals.
Ramona Rebels Elite Jr. Squad members are Emily Bryant, Devon Diamond, Lindsay Diamond, Gia Don, Analiese Cordova, Ariana Jaramillo, Carly Keyser, Marisa Mendoza, Gracey Michaelis, Zowie Parham, Taeler Petersen, Mollie Pilley, Savanah Santiago, Sophia Spenner, Sarah Swafford and Britney Vargas.
