New shop fills window, flooring needs

Between window treatments and flooring, the owners of a new little shop in downtown Ramona say they have those items covered.

Candace Regel and Mike Agha opened The Blinds Spot and Regal Floors on Oct. 1 at 707 Main St., just two months after Ramona Interiors moved out of that

space.

“There’s a lot of things we can do in this little shop,” said Agha.

Not only do they sell horizontal and vertical blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, carpet, and tile, wood and vinyl flooring, but Agha can custom-make blinds and cellular shades in his workspace in the back of the shop.

“He’s has all the knowledge. He’s the blinds master,” Regel said.

They sell Kirsch products for draperies, including decorative rods, tiebacks and finials.

While some such items are in the shop, Agha said, “We can special order anything.”

For those who are only in need of a replacement part for a window treatment, The Blinds Spot has a variety on hand.

The pair takes pride in dealing with USA-made products and prefers to work with local vendors. They also noted they can beat Home Depot prices. Agha said he has been in the business for 15 years and knows the industry.

Agha said he will go to a client’s home and measure or re-measure for no charge. Orders typically take one week to 10 days.If he makes the blinds or cellular shades in the shop, he tries to get it out in a week, he said. Agha can also provide repairs.

The owners, who live in Ramona, are enjoying their Old Town location.

Regel said her motto is “Starting small but thinking big.”
