Big 5 Sporting Goods was scheduled to open its store in Ramona on Nov. 23. The store’s “Early Bird” Grand Opening sale is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15.
The 10,000-square-foot, full-line sporting goods store is at 1312 Main St. in the Sun Valley shopping center and provides a number of new jobs in the community.
Big 5 offers brand name sporting goods, accessories and apparel, for snowsports, hunting fishing, camping, golf, tennis and other sports. The company also sells athletic shoes, fitness equipment and games.

The Ramona store opening marks the 206th Big 5 in California.
