Sponsorships are available to help pay to stage Ramona Chamber of Commerce’s 19th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, says Holly Romo at the chamber office.

The community event will be in Collier Park from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Craft vendors have until Friday, Nov. 25, to reserve a spot at the event. Spaces are $25 each and may be reserved by calling the chamber office at 760-789-1311 or emailing rccstaff@ramonachamber.com.

Sponsorships range from $25 to $250, said Romo. Santa Claus sponsorships are $250, Tree sponsors are $100, Ornament sponsors are $50 and Festival sponsors are $25.

Ramona Lutheran Church will have a live nativity in the park, and chamber president Jason DeLeo will light the community tree, a live cedar purchased with donations from the community and planted last year, and the tree will remain lighted through Dec. 26, said Romo.

“Collier Park is a beautiful community park with a wonderful stage and pavilion where we can have cookie decorating and ornament making crafts for the kids,” she said, noting that there will be a Christmas Craft Center and face painting for the children.

Santa is expected to arrive about 5:15 p.m., and children will have the opportunity to have their picture taken as they share their Christmas wishes with him. Photos by Jeanne Wood Photography will be $5 each.

Ramona church and youth groups will provide caroling, and local musicians and singers will add to the evening’s entertainment.

Pizza, street tacos, hot chocolate and Christmas goodies will be available.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the event may contact the chamber office.

Collier Park is in downtown Ramona in the 600 block of E Street between Sixth and Seventh streets.
