Flores kicks off food drive at RE/Max Direct

Share

Realtor Regina Flores at Re/Max Direct is asking for the community’s help for those in need this holiday season.

All canned goods and boxed food are greatly appreciated, she said, and may be dropped off before Nov. 20, so fewer may go hungry this Thanksgiving.

“With the economy the way that it has been, we are seeing more people needing the basic necessities, and what could be more basic than a meal, said Flores. “Ramona is a community that takes care of each other. We have seen this over and over. So if you can help by bringing one can or five, it all counts to a hungry child.”

Among donation ideas are: Any unopened canned vegetables, fruit, pasta, soup, crackers or any boxed cereal or food.

Those who can help may bring donations to the RE/Max office at 1410 Main St., near the corner of 14th and Main, next to Burger King. Drop-offs are accepted daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“All items will be donated to a local nonprofit organization or to families in our community in need,” said Flores. “If you can’t make it in, we will be happy to pick up your donations.”

For more information or to have a donation picked up, call Flores at 760-788-0721.
