Health center provides free dental screenings, varnish treatments, flu shots through December

North County Health Services is providing free flu shots, dental screenings and varnish treatments at its Ramona Health Center at two separate clinics through December.

Appointments are required.

Saturday flu clinics/dental screenings at no cost will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 26 and Dec. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

The center will provide this “two-for-one” deal while supplies last. After that, the charge will be $15 for adults, but will continue to be free for children.

Ongoing dental screening/varnish clinics are available for children and adults during regular hours through Dec. 31.

Ramona Health Center and Dental is at 217 E. Earlham St. To reserve an appointment for either the Saturday clinics or the dental/varnish clinics, call 760-789-1223.

The clinics are also offered at North County Health Services’ Mission Mesa Dental at 2216 S. El Camino Real, Suites 121-122, in Oceanside and San Marcos Health Center and Dental at 150 Valpreda Road in San Marcos. For appointments at the Oceanside center, call 760-400-0277; for the San Marcos center, call 760-736-6767.

North County Health Services, accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), is a private not-for-profit organization that serves patients at 11 health centers in Ramona, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, and San Marcos, and through two mobile clinics. It provides comprehensive healthcare including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, internal medicine, adolescent medicine, dental care and radiology as well as community health outreach, prevention and disease management programs.
