Four brothers earn Eagle Scout rank

Share

Teri and Jim Bishop’s four sons have achieved what few young men do. They are all Eagle Scouts.

Kevin Ryan was the first. He constructed a flagpole for the former Sun Valley Charter School in 2002.

He was followed by William Derrick, who re-roofed and painted the dugouts at the Ramona Pony baseball fields for his project in 2003. In 2009, Robert Anthony earned his Eagle Scout ranking after organizing a blood drive for the San Diego Blood Bank.

Terrence Nicholas achieved his Eagle Scout ranking this year. His project involved gathering electronic waste and taking it to Ramona Disposal.

The four brothers are members of Troop 631 and are either Ramona High School graduates or students. Three of them have worked through mental and physical challenges, said their mother, Teri, and earning the Eagle Scout rank has taught them to be organized, work with others, and accomplish goals.
