Ramona High School Library conducts book donation drive

Share

By CAROLYN OWENS

As part of our schoolwide plan to promote reading at Ramona High School, the RHS Library would like to invite you to participate in a seasonal book donation drive. There are three ways that you can contribute books to the RHS Library:

•Specific Titles: We have placed titles of books we would like to make available to students on snowflakes. These snowflakes will be on display in the library. You may stop by (or email me, cowens@ramonausd.net, directly and I will send you the title list) and select a snowflake or specific title and then purchase and donate that title. Each donation will include a book plate with the donor’s name.

•Book Donations: We are receiving “lightly used” books (both hardback and paperback) appropriate for young adults (ages 13-18). Library Fine Cancellations: If a student or their parent donates a book and has a library fine, we will take the donated book in lieu of the fine.

•Purchase Scrip: You may purchase scrip (a scrip list can be found on the RHS webpage: www.ramonausd.net/ under shortcuts) from RHS and specify that the proceeds go towards the Library book fund. From this fund the library staff will purchase student book requests.

Thank you for your support of the RHS Library Media Center.

Carolyn Owens is the library media teacher at Ramona High School.
