Christmas Tree Lighting in Collier Park on Saturday

Ramona’s 19th Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting, presented by Ramona Chamber of Commerce, promises lots of old-fashioned fun — including an opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap — in Collier Park in the 600 block of E Street from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Music, entertainment, Christmas craft centers, face painting, cookie decorating, a live nativity, and food and vendors are among festivities planned. Santa will arrive about 5:15 p.m., and children will have the opportunity to have their picture taken as they share their Christmas wishes with him. Chamber President Jason DeLeo will light the Christmas tree and it will remain lighted through Dec. 26.

“Please bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit and watch the show,” said Honorary Mayor Sharon Davis. “We have almost two hours of entertainment lined up.”
