A woman who allegedly went on a rampage causing $4,000 in property damage at the Ramona Old Time Liquor store is scheduled to stand trial Sept. 19 on a felony vandalism charge.

Roslynn Melitina Garcia, 25, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which also include misdemeanor battery upon the store owner, Peter Aboudi, and resisting an executive officer during an arrest.

Deputy District Attorney Christopher Chandler said Garcia was very upset and was also intoxicated during the July 20 incident. She is accused of punching Aboudi while he tried to subdue her.

Court records say she caused $3,000 in damages to a slushy machine and $1,000 in damages to a wine rack in which many bottles were broken. The vandalism charge is a felony because there were damages exceeding $400.

Aboudi and a sheriff’s deputy testified in a preliminary hearing before El Cajon Superior Court Judge William McGrath, who ordered her to stand trial on all charges.

She remains in the Las Colinas Women’s Detention Facility on $25,000 bail. McGrath made an order barring her from coming within 20 yards of the Main Street store should she post bail.
