It will be Bulldog Baseball in Petco Park when the Ramona High varsity team plays Valley Center in the San Diego Padres Home field at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

It isn’t too late to purchase tickets to see the high school team play in a major league ballpark. Tickets are $15 each and are also good for reserved seats for the 7:05 p.m. May 28 Padre Washington Nationals game at Petco Park.

Tickets may be purchased from Connie Claxton in the office at Ramona High School, 1401 Hanson Lane, or from Dean Welch, Bulldog baseball coach. A portions of the proceeds of tickets sold in advance will go to the Ramona High baseball team.

For the third consecutive year, the San Diego Padres will sponsor “High School Baseball at Petco Park” this weekend. Two games will be played Friday, and the Ramona versus Valley Center will kick off play on Saturday.

“Only because of the Padres’ generosity and commitment are our section high school baseball team, our member schools and their communities provided the opportunity to play baseball in a major league ball park — a lifetime memory,” said Dennis Ackerman, California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)-San Diego Section commissioner. “...Thank you to the San Diego Padres for providing all of us with a great way to make a significant difference in our schools’ athletic program budget and providing a special moment for the participating players in their high school careers.”

Anyone unable to attend the game will be able to watch it broadcast live on the Internet at kbcsports.com at 10 a.m. Saturday
